Benchmark · No commitment

Find out what a lane should cost.

Switching providers on a promise is a bad trade. Switching on a comparison is a decision. Send us a lane you already run and we will price it against our carrier base, so you can put a real number next to the one you pay now.

What comes back

  • A benchmark rate on that lane from our carrier pricing
  • The transit time and the carrier we would put it on
  • The accessorial charges those two addresses are likely to trigger
  • A note on the freight class, if what you gave us looks off
One thing this is not. A benchmark is a realistic price on a real lane, not a teaser. If our number is not better than what you pay today, we will tell you that and say so plainly. A shipper who gets an honest no is a shipper who calls back.

What makes a benchmark accurate

The more of these you can give us, the closer the number. Send what you have and we will work with it.

  • Real dimensions, measured as the freight ships
  • Actual total weight rather than an estimate
  • Whether each end has a dock
  • How often the lane runs

Pallet count, dimensions, weight and commodity. Note anything unusual about either location.

We reply within one business day with a real number, or an honest no.

Before you send it

Two free tools that make the comparison fairer, because a benchmark against a wrong class is not a benchmark.

Check the class

Freight class calculator

If the class on your current invoices came from an estimate, the rate you are comparing against may already be wrong. Run the pallet through the calculator first.

Accessorial fee checklist

Walk both ends of the lane through the checklist. Knowing which fees apply is what turns two rates into a real comparison.
