The rules change. Nobody sends you a notice.

In July 2025 the density scale was restructured and roughly 2,000 NMFC listings were consolidated. Shippers who found out late kept quoting against item numbers that had moved, and paid for it one rebill at a time. We send a note when something like that happens.

What you get

  • Classification changes. New dockets, consolidated listings and density scale revisions, in plain language, with what it means for your bill of lading.
  • Accessorial shifts. When carriers add a charge or change how one is applied, so you can price it before it appears.
  • Capacity and rate conditions. What is actually happening in the market, not a forecast.
  • Updates to our free tools. When the calculator or the density chart changes because the underlying rules did.
We send it when something changes. Not weekly, not monthly, not on a schedule invented to fill a calendar. Some months that means nothing arrives. We would rather send you four useful notes a year than fifty forgettable ones.

What we will not do

  • Sell, rent or trade your email address
  • Hand it to a carrier or a partner for their own marketing
  • Start calling you because you joined a mailing list
  • Make you email somebody to get off the list

Every message has an unsubscribe link that works. See the privacy policy for the full picture.
